Somehow one of the coolest new Fire games I’ve played in a while is a retro (think SNES) game created as a promotion for a Netflix TV series. Seriously.
Marked down from $3 to $1, Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee is a 3D puzzle platformer and Xbox port that plays well on the Fire TV platform.
Originally developed for the Xbox 360, Doom & Destiny is a satirical JRPG that plays well on Amazon’s Fire TV platform.
Evoland isn’t available in Amazon’s app store, but plays well on the Fire TV. It’s a unique (I believe) kind of retro-ish game that plays on concepts from Zelda games and JRPG games. The Sony Playstation 4 Dualshock 4 controller is a standard bluetooth device and works well with the Fire TV. It’s one of the best controllers out there, but it doesn’t work with every Fire OS device, so take care before you buy one.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) is an RPG originally released in 2003 on the XBox, that has since been ported to a number of platforms. This is a full port of a serious console game to Android, and a lot of fun to play. The game is a console RPG set long … Continue reading Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
